What UK Regulations Say About Safety Signs

In the UK, workplace safety signs and signals are addressed by the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996.

The HSE’s guidance explains employers’ duties relating to selecting, using and maintaining safety signs and signals. It also explains the meanings associated with the principal safety colours and the use of different sign types.
