At HSE Store Signage, we supply safety signs, workplace signage, banners, boards and related products manufactured and fulfilled through our established manufacturing and distribution partners.
We aim to process and deliver all orders as efficiently as possible. Because many of our products are manufactured to order, production and delivery times can vary depending on the product, quantity, specification and destination.
1. Order Processing
Orders are passed to the relevant manufacturing or fulfilment partner following receipt and successful payment.
Many standard products are processed promptly; however, certain products may require additional manufacturing time.
Where a product has a specific estimated production or delivery time, this will be stated on the relevant product page where possible.
Any delivery or production timeframe provided is an estimate unless we have expressly agreed a specific delivery date in writing.
Orders are generally processed during normal Business Days. Production, dispatch and delivery may be affected by weekends, public holidays, manufacturer closures, carrier delays or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
During periods of unusually high demand, manufacturing delays or carrier disruption, delivery may take longer than usual.
If we become aware of a significant delay affecting your order, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you using the details provided when placing the order.
2. UK Delivery
We currently offer delivery to addresses within the United Kingdom, subject to the delivery options and charges displayed during checkout.
Certain products, quantities, destinations or special delivery requirements may attract an additional delivery charge.
Where an additional charge is required, we will contact you where appropriate before proceeding.
3. Delivery to Remote & Restricted Areas
Some UK locations may incur additional delivery charges or require alternative delivery arrangements.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- Scottish Highlands and Islands
- Offshore islands
- Certain remote postal areas
- Areas subject to carrier restrictions
- Locations requiring specialist or timed delivery services
Where an additional charge applies, we will contact you where necessary.
4. Delivery Access
The customer is responsible for ensuring that suitable access is available for delivery to the address provided.
Please consider factors such as:
- Restricted entrances
- Narrow access roads
- Height or width restrictions
- Secure or gated sites
- Loading restrictions
- Commercial site access requirements
- Availability of someone to receive the delivery
- Requirements for specialist delivery vehicles
Where special delivery arrangements are required because of restricted access or other site-specific circumstances, additional charges may apply.
We cannot accept responsibility for delays or additional costs arising because suitable delivery access was not available.
5. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery address provided at checkout is complete and accurate.
If you realise that an incorrect address has been supplied, please contact us immediately at:
We will make reasonable efforts to amend the delivery address where an order has not yet entered production or dispatch.
However, once an order has entered production or has been dispatched, we cannot guarantee that the delivery address can be changed.
Additional charges may apply where a carrier re-direction, re-delivery or other intervention is required.
6. Delivery to Business Addresses
For deliveries to business premises, customers should ensure that the premises are open and able to accept deliveries during the expected delivery period.
Where relevant, please provide any useful delivery instructions, such as:
- Reception or goods-in details
- Site opening hours
- Building or unit numbers
- Contact names
- Access instructions
- Delivery restrictions
Failure to provide adequate information may result in failed delivery attempts, delays or additional charges.
7. Delivery Tracking
Where tracking information is available, it may be provided to you by email or through your HSE Store Signage account.
Tracking information is supplied by the relevant carrier and may not update immediately following dispatch.
Once an order has been dispatched, delivery timing is largely dependent on the carrier and circumstances outside our direct control.
8. Lost or Delayed Deliveries
If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact us at:
We will investigate the delivery with the relevant manufacturer, fulfilment partner or carrier.
Customers should contact us as soon as reasonably possible where an order appears to be missing or significantly delayed.
9. Damaged Deliveries
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible following delivery.
If the packaging or goods appear damaged, please:
- Photograph the packaging before opening it where possible.
- Photograph the damaged goods clearly.
- Retain the original packaging.
- Contact us at signage@hsestore.co.uk.
- Quote your HSE Store Signage order number.
Damage should preferably be reported within two Business Days of delivery so that we can investigate the matter promptly with the relevant carrier or manufacturing partner.
Where damage is clearly visible at the time of delivery, customers should, where practical, notify the carrier and may refuse delivery where appropriate.
Reporting damage promptly helps us investigate and resolve the matter efficiently. This does not affect any statutory rights that may apply.
Further information is available in our Cancellations & Damages Policy.
10. Shortages & Incorrect Deliveries
Customers should check delivered goods against the order documentation as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If any items are missing, incorrect or supplied in the wrong quantity, please contact:
Please provide your order number and details of the discrepancy.
Photographs may be requested to assist with our investigation.
We will investigate the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement, refund or other suitable resolution.
11. Split Deliveries
Where an order contains multiple products, the items may be manufactured, dispatched or delivered separately.
This can occur where products have different production times, are supplied by different manufacturing facilities or require different delivery services.
You may therefore receive more than one delivery for a single order.
Where this occurs, you will only be charged the delivery amount agreed at checkout unless an additional charge has been expressly agreed with you.
12. Made-to-Order & Bespoke Products
Many signage products are manufactured specifically following receipt of an order.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Bespoke signage
- Personalised signs
- Custom wording
- Customer-supplied artwork
- Customer logos
- Non-standard sizes
- Custom materials or finishes
- Bespoke banners and boards
These products may require additional production time.
Estimated production and delivery times should be considered before placing an order.
Once production has commenced, cancellation or amendment may not be possible.
Please refer to our Cancellations & Damages Policy for further information.
13. Delays Beyond Our Reasonable Control
We will make reasonable efforts to meet estimated delivery times. However, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Flooding
- Fire
- Industrial disputes
- Transport disruption
- Carrier delays
- Manufacturing delays
- Material shortages
- Equipment failure
- Power or telecommunications disruption
- Government restrictions
- Public health emergencies
- Other events outside our reasonable control
Where such circumstances occur, we will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed and minimise any resulting delay.
14. International Deliveries
Unless specifically agreed with us in writing, our standard online delivery service is intended for UK delivery addresses.
Where international delivery is available or specifically arranged, the customer may be responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, clearance charges or other fees imposed by the destination country.
Any such charges are the responsibility of the customer unless expressly agreed otherwise.
15. Acceptance
By placing an order through HSE Store Signage, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted the terms of this Shipping & Delivery Policy, together with our applicable Terms & Conditions and other relevant policies.
Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict or exclude any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
